This is an original genuine Vitra piece.

Plastic armchairs were first presented as part of a New York Museum of Modern Art competition Low Cost Furniture Design.

Their organically shaped plastic seat shells were later combined with various different bases and manufactured in their millions.

The average human height has increased worldwide by nearly 10 cm over the past 60 years, resulting in a growing awareness of the need to adapt the dimensions of classic chair designs to fit new proportions.

Note: due to the composition of the recycled material, the seat shell colours exhibit very subtle specks of pigment.

Origin of wood: ash (Fraxinus excelsior) and maple (Acer platanoides) from Western Europe and/or Poland.

All models are available with a seat cushion (screwed to the seat shell) or full upholstery.
