The Fritz Hansen 3300 Easy Chair, by Arne Jacobsen, combines a chromed steel frame with generously proportioned high-quality leather upholstery.
The 3300 Easy Chair was originally designed to provide a comfortable place to relax in Stockholm’s SAS Air Terminal.
The airport was attached to the SAS’s Royal Hotel, which was widely regarded as the purest expression of Arne Jacobsen’s timeless aesthetic.
The Fritz Hansen 3300 Easy Chairs contrasted with the contoured design forms found elsewhere in the Royal Hotel, symbolising a new era of prosperity and simple modernity.
The addition of leather upholstery elevates Jacobsen’s design to a new level of comfort, equally at home as the cornerstone of a living space, or tucked away in a bedroom for an evening of relaxation.
